Instagram is a powerful platform for profits, with some celebs raking in as much as $1 million per #sponsored post. But how do NFL players measure up against these celebs? And who is the highest earning NFL player through their Insta feed? We reveal all.
We had a look to see which NFL players are winning not just on the field, but in the social media game too. Topping our Instagram earnings chart is Odell Beckham Jr. with a crazy 14.1 million followers and $57.8K per post. It’s safe to say that the players know how to entertain their audiences, on and off the pitch.
The Cleveland Browns have smashed the top spot, no doubt OBJ is partially to thank due to his loyal follower pool. Average earnings per post for the players is $74,832. Check out the full table to see the top 10 highest earning teams.
Whilst OBJ’s numbers aren’t quite as impressive as some of the top followed accounts on Insta -* Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock)* is the highest earner and makes $1 million through a single sponsored post - he still takes the crown for the highest earning NFL player.
The team at OnlineGambling.ca compiled a list of the highest followed NFL players on Instagram. The report includes estimated earnings per post using eMarketer’s calculation – they estimate that for every follower on Instagram an influencer is paid 0.0041 cents. For the teams, the top five earning players for each team were combined and an average was found.
Please note, this calculation is an estimate and therefore could be some deviation against these estimations and actual earnings. It is as accurate as possible but please bear this in mind.
